Walk or Pay — last updated 25 July 2026
Walk or Pay collects as little as it possibly can: an anonymous account identifier, your step totals, and a record of your purchases and challenges. No name, no address, no phone number, no identity document, and no payment details.
Card numbers, bank details, billing addresses, government identity numbers, phone numbers, precise location, contacts, or health data other than step counts. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple.
You appear on the leaderboard under an automatically assigned alias such as "Walker #42" — never under your name or email. You can hide yourself from the leaderboard entirely at any time in Settings.
Nobody. Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers, and there are no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs in the app. Data is stored on our hosting provider's servers solely to run the service.
Account and challenge records are kept while your account exists. Ask us to delete your account and we remove your account record and step data.
Under the GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to its processing. Email us and we will action it.
Walk or Pay is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
