Walk or Pay — last updated 25 July 2026
Walk or Pay lets you set a step goal for a fixed period and stake credits on hitting it. Reach the goal and your credits return to your wallet. Miss it and the staked credits are gone — that is the entire point of the product, and you should not stake credits you are not prepared to lose.
Credits are an in-app balance used only inside Walk or Pay. Purchases are final. Credits never expire and have no cash value. They cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged for money, and a credit balance is not a deposit, an account balance, or any kind of stored-value instrument.
A Walk or Pay Plus subscription is required to open a new challenge. Each paid month grants one credit. Credits you already hold remain yours if the subscription lapses.
All purchases are made through the App Store and are handled by Apple. Payment, billing, taxes, and any refund requests are managed by Apple under the terms of your App Store account — Walk or Pay never sees or stores your payment details. If Apple refunds or revokes a purchase, the corresponding credits are removed from your balance.
Progress is measured from step data your device records in Apple Health. Manually entered step samples are never counted. Settlement is performed by our server from the step counts reported by your device; if your device stops reporting, the challenge is settled from the last totals we received.
Attempting to falsify step data, tamper with purchases, or otherwise game settlement may result in loss of access to the app.
These terms may be updated as the app develops. Continuing to use Walk or Pay after a change means you accept the updated terms.
